Testimonials
Róisín's lessons were differentiated according to the children's age and she had a warmth and kindness which the children instantly connected with. Róisín went above and beyond .... I would highly recommend Róisín if you are looking for engaging, fun and creative baking activities in school (or through remote learning!)

We have just finished an eight week course with Mess Chef. This is often the highlight of the term for students and staff alike. Roisin allows the children the time to explore food, flavours and smells through all their senses. This is so important for all our students with autism. The children also learn key cooking and food preparation skills in a relaxed and fun manner. Mess Chef has helped the children tolerate, experience and develop new skills around food.

About Us
Mess Chef Cookery Classes were founded in 2017 by Róisín Matthews. Róisín has more than 15 years experience in the food industry, mainly in creating new recipes, products and food labels for supermarkets. This has given Róisín a sharp insight into the way in which families cook and eat, as well as how cooking from scratch is in fast decline. She could also see from her own young family, the innate interest children have in helping in the kitchen from a very young age, but that cooking for and with kids can be a bewildering and stressful experience for parents! So after much research and planning, Róisín decided to pack in the day job and begin Mess Chef Children's Cookery Classes, providing fun and educational food discovery classes for children and their parents.
