'Nut Eile' - Recipe

Here it is....my 'nut eile' (Get it?) recipe!

It has a whopping 65% less sugar than a certain popular chocolately hazelnut spread, has only 5 ingredients and can be made in seconds.

It's brilliant for quick breakfasts, after school snacks, or movie night treats.

Nut Eile Recipe (Makes approx 250g / 16 portions)

170g jar of Almond or Cashew nut butter
1 tbsp / 10g Cocoa Powder
3 tbsp / 25g Rapeseed Oil
3 tbsp / 30g Maple Syrup
1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence

Microwave the jar of nut butter for about 15 seconds to soften. Empty contents in to a mixing bowl. Measure in all the other ingredients. Mix very well until totally combined and thickened. Ta Da! Done!

Store in a jar or covered container in the fridge. A 15g portion contains approx 3g sugar (around half a tsp) - yes that is SIXTY FIVE PERCENT LESS SUGAR THAN NUTELLA!!!

Try it on crackers, toast, or like in our photo - on brown soda bread with sliced fruit!
