March Meal Ideas

Need a little help with choosing family meals? Here I have put together some ideas for eating in season, as well as keeping up with trends, batch cooking ideas and prompts for adding a little variety to your meal plan this month.

th March - Meat Free Monday: Try my favourite store cupboard staple, Chickpea Curry

th March - Seasonal Eats: Leeks, Potatoes and Kale all feature in this Leek & Sausage Pie. Make double - it is suitable for freezing!

March - Weekend Bake: Make a rhubarb pie or crumble and serve with custard, delicious!

th March - It's Spring but it's still chilly! Make a big pot of Minestrone Soup. Serve with garlic bread for dinner, and keep some leftovers for lunch

th March - St. Patrick's Day!: Make a huge pot of traditional lamb stew. It'll taste even better the next day.

th March - Batch Cook: You'll need a break from family time by day 4 of an extra long weekend. Hide away in the kitchen with a good podcast and batch cook some Chicken & Mushrooms Pies. If the kids disturb you, keep them busy chopping veg for a batch of 5 Vegetable Pasta Sauce (they can do it all with a Kiddikutter Kid Safe Knife!)

st March - Meat Free Monday: Keep it seasonal with a Cauliflower Mac & Cheese

rd March - Restaurant at Home: Liven up your meal plan by recreating your favourite restaurant meal at home. What would you choose? Spicy Chicken wings? Carbonara?

th March - International Waffle Day: Need I say more?!

th March - International Whiskey Day: Steak and chips with Nevin's Pepper Sauce with Whiskey on the side for the grown-ups

th March - Budget Dinner: After a long month with a 4 day bank holiday in the middle, wallets may be a little lighter by now! Having a good budget recipe on hand like this delicious Lentil Dahl makes it easier to survive until pay day!

st March - Take it Easy: You deserve a break! How about an easy Egg, Beans & (Chipper) Chips?
